F.R.E.S.H. Project’s Mobile Market Coming Near You! Partnering with local producers to bring healthy foods to your area
Shawano, WI, June 11, 2019 – The F.R.E.S.H. Project’s Mobile Market, a pilot program running from the end of June through September, will deliver fresh local produce throughout Shawano County at a very low price to the customer providing affordable, accessible, and healthy food to all.
“The Mobile Market allows you to have a deeper connection to your food, without having to grow it,” said Barb Mendoza, executive director, FRESH Project. “You will be able to get an inside look at what is happening with the farms growing your food around Shawano County.”
“Our Mobile Market will travel to you and it will be a great way to have locally grown produce in your neighborhood. You will also receive special discounts on produce, learn about cooking techniques and healthy recipes for the foods,” said Mendoza. “The Mobile Market will also help our farmers plan what to grow by sharing what kinds of produce and/or meats you are interested in.”
